Hull Fashion Week Finale Part 2

What better way to get away from uni work for a day than to get invited to blog at Hull Fashion Week?! We were each given a section to write about and my slot was from 1.20pm to 1.55pm.
The event highlighted a variety of different local talent and definitely had a feel good attitude towards Hull. There were a number of dance troupes that performed between 1.20 and 1.55 these included Horizon dance troupe and Lisa Cannel Dance Academy.

Performances also included singing from Izzy Thomas, Kirk Johnson who were both really good and performed a variety of different types of music to cater for all.

Hull College featured in the event showcasing some of their own designs from students which was shown on one of the catwalks. These pieces were not only unusual but I thought were really quite good. I was surprised at the standard considering they were made by college students.

Some of the work of the student was displayed on mannequins in the entrance. One particular piece caught my eye as it was made from recycled clothes including old jeans.

Ninties boy also performed who is a singer songwriter from Hull. He was co-hosting the whole event and chopped and changed between host and performer. He used to be an English teacher in the area and so is quite well known!
All in all it was a really good day and a great opportunity and I'd love to be able to get involved again next year.
